Brick Kiln Operator's Licence

- Eligibility Conditions
i. The site of the Brick Kiln should not be affected to the health of
the general public or to the crops, gardens or nurseries in close proximity
thereto.
ii. The Brick Kiln shall not be installed with in the radius of 1600 metres
from the residential areas in the cities mentioned in the schedule and 500
metres from the residential areas in other town and villages.
iii. N.O.C. from the Punjab State Pollution Control Board would be required
if the proposed site for installation of new brick kiln is beyond the distance
or limits prescribed by Punjab State Pollution Control Board.
iv. N.O.C. from Bhakra Beas Management Board or Punjab State Electricity
Board shall be obtained in case the Vessel of proposed kiln falls within
500 metres from the transmission line of 220 KV.
v. No Brick Kiln shall be installed within a distance of 700 metres from
a mango orchard and 100 metres from a garden or nursery and a distance of
less than 100 metres from a scheduled road.
- Step by step Procedure
Issuance of Brick Kiln Operator's Licence :
Bricks are essential commodity and are manufactured in Kilns. No person or
persons can manufacture the Bricks without having the Licence from the Department
The Licence is issued as per clause 4 of the above mentioned Control Order.
A person desirous ton start a Brick Kiln shall apply for grant of a Licence
to District Magistrate of the concerned District in appended Form 'A' along
with Site Plan registered lease deed or ownership of the Land and Treasury
Challan of ten thousand rupees as security to be deposited in the name of
Director under Head of Account No. 8443-Civil Deposits (106) Personal Deposits
(01) Personal Deposits.
Renewal of Brick Kiln Operator's Licence :
Grant of Renewal of Licence is governed by clause 5 of the control order.
Licence is issued by the District magistrate or any person so authorized under
this control order.
- Fee prescribed
i. For Grant of a Licence for a period up to one year or part thereof
-Rs 2000/-
ii. For Renewal of Licence for one year or part thereof -Rs 2000/-
iii. The fee for Grant of Duplicate Licence ?Rs.1000/-
- Sanctioning Authority
District Magistrate or any person so authorized under this control order.
